Vaping breaks down in its simplest form to 3 parts: a battery, a tank(container for E liquid and coil that heats and vaporizes the liquid) and e-liquid(the delivery device for flavor and nicotine).

E-liquid - E-liquid(ejuice, juice) is composed of PG(Propalyne Glycol), VG(Vegetable Glycerin) and flavor concentrates. E-liquid is also available in various nicotine levels. The delivery of Eliquid vapor is similar to the delivery method used by nebulizers.

Tanks/Coils - Tanks are a container for E-liquid. Tanks are made up of an air tube and liquid chamber. A coil/wick usually attaches to a tank on the bottom lid of most devices, contacts/absorbs the liquid and seats into the air tube. The coil/wick absorbs the eliquid and, when the battery button is pressed, the coils heats up and vaporizes the liquid. The pull of the user directs the vapor through the air tube. Tanks come in a variety of sizes, colors and materials(pyrex, plastic, glass etc.) Coils come in a variety of resistance levels(1.8, 2.2, 2.5 standard levels)

Battery - Batteries supply power to the coil which vaporizes the E-liquid. Batteries generally fall into 2 categories: non-variable voltage and variable voltage and come in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors, types. Battery life is measured in MAH(milliampere-hours )

After an initial purchase of a tank and battery, the only recurring costs are: Eliquid and coils. The life span of both can vary on the amount of use, devices and setting of devices, Eliquid blend, and style of vaping by the end user.
